The Monticello girls volleyball team put up a fight this 2016/2017 school year. Like many other sports this year started out as a rebuilding one, but the senior captains had no problem doing that. “We had many strong players this year that kept the team positive”.

This season welcomed coach Beth Modaff back into Monticello volleyball program. She had some amazing things to say about the season. “We had a group of girls that really loved each other, so we worked very well as a team, and I also loved working with each of them.”

Communication this year was a key component in how the games went. When there was a lack of communication that was the team’s weakness, they tend to struggle more without it. When the communication was there and good then it seemed as though the team could take on anything.

Overall this season was one for the books. The team even gained an amazing manager, senior Beaux Ye, he shared his thought on the season “Being a manager for the volleyball team was a great choice to occupy my time, and the company was great.”
